Description

Low Sulfur Gasoline (LSG) Plant

Built in 2007

Capacity of 50,000 barrels per day (BPD)

.

Units was shut down in early 2012.  This plant is in excellent condition. Most of the process exchangers use 2205 duplex or 304L stainless steel tubes. The fired  heater uses type 347 stainless steel tubes. The reactors are clad with 304 stainless steel, and the stripper column uses type 304  stainless steel trays.  Documentation for this facility is  available in electronic formats. Including  process flow  diagrams,  process  descriptions, plot plans, and major  equipment drawings and specification  sheets for all units.  All pressure vessels have National  Board numbers.  All major equipment has a nitrogen blanket.  Specifications:  Reaction Section  Flowserve feed pumps rated for 1,650  gpm capacity at 1,160 psig with 600-hp  GE electric drive motors.  Both the diolefin and the SCANfining  reactor is 16.5 ft diameter by 17.5 ft tall  and has a print weight of 220,500 lbs.  Constructed of carbon steel with 1/8” of  304 stainless steel cladding and are  rated for 510 psig at 650oF.  Recycle Gas (Treat Gas) Section  Low Sulphur Gasoline Plant  The recycle compressors are A-C model VH409 centrifugal compressors with Lufkin model NF2407D gearboxes and 5,000-hp, two speed Westinghouse drives. They are rated for 63,000 SCFM each with 242 psig suction and 432 psig discharge pressures while  spinning at 12,731 rpm The hydrogen make-up compressors are two-stage reciprocating Burian Corbin (France) units with 470 hp Siemens drives. They are rated for 4,880 SCFM each.  Fired Heater  The direct-fired feed furnace is designed for 34 MM BTU/hr and is rated for 435 psig at 954oF.  Stripping Section  The column is rated for 160 psig at 515oF. The stripper column recirculation pump is a Flowserve unit with a 200-hp GE drive motor.
